This small town located to just 30 miles from Madrid City Center has a history of thousands of years where remains from the Neolithic as well as from the time of the Roman invasion have been found, and later it was under Arab dominion for more than 300 years until the 11th century where it was left out of Muslim rule. Among the main tourist sites are the Plaza Mayor with more than 200 wooden balconies, the Clock Tower, and the Chinchon Castle. It is an ideal place to visit in just one day and enjoy some of the several outdoor restaurants and taste famous dishes such as suckling pig and lamb with an excellent glass of wine.
